Editorial scope

This guide is written for business buyers. Confirm product applications, technical data, commercial terms and market requirements with the selected supplier before ordering.

You have a list of automotive filter part numbers, but you are not ready to order a full container. Maybe you want to test a new supplier, replace a few fast-moving items or check whether a mixed order makes commercial sense.

HAOLINC FILTER is an automotive filter manufacturer supporting small-batch orders and mixed orders across multiple filter references. Send your OE numbers, quantity per reference, packaging requirements and destination for a quotation. MOQ, availability and lead time are confirmed for each reference.

The difficulty is that a short message asking for “your best price” rarely gives a supplier enough information to prepare a useful quote.

Here is a better way to approach a small-batch automotive filter order.

Start with the OE numbers you actually need

You don’t need to browse hundreds of product pages before making an inquiry.

If you already have an OE number list, send it to the supplier. A simple spreadsheet is usually enough.

For each item, include the reference number, filter type and estimated quantity. If you have reliable vehicle application details, include those too.

Keep the original part number formatting. A missing letter or an incorrect digit can lead to the wrong product being quoted.

One important point: an OE number or cross-reference is a starting point, not automatic proof of interchangeability. Check uncertain applications before approving an order.

Can you order just 50 or 100 pieces?

It depends on the product.

For some references, a small quantity may be practical if the product is available from existing stock. Other items may require a larger production batch, special packaging or separate material preparation.

Private-label packaging can also change the minimum order quantity.

Rather than assuming every automotive filter has the same MOQ, ask the supplier to confirm it for each reference.

If you only need 55 pieces of one model, say so. The supplier can tell you whether that quantity is available, whether a sample order is possible or whether a larger quantity is required.

The answer should come from the current quotation, not a general promise on a website.

What about orders with several OE numbers?

Yes. HAOLINC FILTER supports mixed-SKU orders, so distributors can request several filter references in one order. We review each reference and its requested quantity before confirming the order.

A buyer may need 100 pieces of one oil filter, 50 air filters of another reference and smaller quantities of several cabin filters.

The challenge is not simply the total quantity. Each SKU can have different availability, MOQ, packaging and lead time.

Ask the supplier to quote the requested quantity and the available quantity for each item separately.

That lets you see which references can be purchased together and which need a different arrangement.

Send a quotation sheet that saves everyone time

A useful first inquiry can look like this:

OE referenceFilter typeQuantityPackaging
Your OE number AOil filter100Neutral
Your OE number BAir filter55Neutral
Your OE number CCabin filter80Private label

Illustrative inquiry only. These are not confirmed available products.

OE quote checklist: preserve references, state quantity and packaging per SKU, and include destination, delivery terms and documentation needs.
Illustrative inquiry guide. Availability and fitment require confirmation.

Also include your destination country, preferred delivery terms and whether you need samples or product documentation.

If a reference is uncertain, mark it for verification rather than guessing.

Compare more than the unit price

A low unit price is not automatically the cheapest purchasing option.

For a smaller shipment, freight, packaging, bank charges and minimum-order requirements can have a meaningful effect on the landed cost.

Before accepting a quotation, check:

  • Which OE references have been confirmed?
  • Are the quoted quantities actually available?
  • Does the price include the requested packaging?
  • What is the expected lead time?
  • Which delivery term and named location are used?
  • What documentation or samples are included?

For mixed orders, confirm these details by SKU wherever they differ.

Start with your list, not a perfect specification

If you are testing a supplier, your first inquiry does not need to be complicated.

Send the OE numbers you have, state the quantities you are considering and identify anything that still needs verification.

Use our Filter Finder to look up references, or send your existing OE list directly. If you are starting an import business, include your target market and the references you plan to stock; you do not need a previous import order to make an inquiry.

For questions about samples, fitment verification or private-label packaging, see our automotive filter sourcing FAQ. We will confirm the commercial and technical details for the products in your quotation.
